The Mom: Elastigirl from The Incredibles
Even before she unintentionally created a superhero team, Elastigirl was already a hyper-competent hero in her own right. Cool under pressure, skilled in combat, and able to improvise in any situation. However, when her kids stowaway on her mission to save her husband, Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl not only completes a successful infiltration but also gives her kids the confidence and knowledge they need to succeed against the bad guys. And did we mention she's an insanely good pilot that nearly dodges tear heat seekers with a commercial plane? I feel like that's glossed over all the time.
The Spy: Black Widow from The Marvel Cinematic Universe
Black Widow is everything you want in a spy. Hard to read, great at hand to hand combat, and excellent at getting information, even if she's facing off against super-powered beings. While her proficiency with human weaponry and usefulness in a fight are useful, Widow's spy skills give her an edge, even over a god. Case in point, she is the only Avenger ever to have best Loki in a match of wits.
The Titan's Daughter: Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy
You'd think that a lifetime at Thanos' side would make Gamora far more amoral. And yet, she operates as the Guardians moral compass and pushes them to do the right thing even if it goes against their self-interest. That's not to say her physical skill set isn't up to snuff as she's a master swordswoman, superhumanly strong, and ready for any kind of combat.
The Kid: Hit-Girl from Kick-Ass and Kick-Ass 2
Raised to be a superhero by her Batman-esque father Big Daddy, Hit-Girl is the deadliest version of Robin you've ever seen. Deadly with all manner of weapons including guns and blades, Hit-Girl decimates countless enemies twice her size with pure skill. And when her father is no longer running the show, Hit-Girl takes the lead to turn Kick-Ass into a competent hero for when it matters most.
The Anti-Hero: Catwoman from Batman Returns & The Dark Knight Rises
The best cinematic versions of Catwoman have a lot in common. They're skilled fighters and thieves that just so happen to look great in skintight outfits. They're also not inherently heroic as their primary motivation is self-preservation. But when the film's big bads set their plans into motion, these women ally themselves with Batman to save Gotham, by any means necessary.
